    After the war, United States Navy chooses to give back the vital point Naval Station Pearl Harbor and Wahiawa be made as the receiver point. Because of the inconvenience of Pearl Harbor as a site for expansion, they made a decision to give back the vital point to Wahiawa. Because of the necessity of telecommunication it was decided in 1959 to have a new communication net as it was also the need of that time to get more advance information.

    NAVCOMMACTS Pearl Harbor commanded the communications centers at Camp Smith (CINCPAC), Secure Voice Pearl Harbor, Moanalua (FLEWAECEN), Makalapa (CINCPACFLT), Consolidated Maintenance and the Pearl Harbor (NAVSHIPYD).   • Naval Air Warfare Center

    The air force station is situated at an agreeable location to the city of Marietta Georgia, in the Cobb County constitution. Prior to its reestablishment, the base was operated by the United States Navy then transferred ownership on September 26, 2009 to the National Guard.

    The ground breaking of the $60 million Naval Auxiliary Air Station on July 16, 1957, it was named McCain Field at that time in honor of Admiral McCaine, Sr. The station served as the base for the hundreds of airplanes which were based in Florida in trying to escape the destructive hurricane Betsy. The exodus of 300 planes from Florida was repeated on 1968 and 1969 when Hurricane Camille and Hurricane Gladys struck Florida. Over the years, the base continues to show improvements and became a Naval Air Station with increase constructions of buildings and housing units for the family of the servicemen.

    The NAS Meridian is also the base for Training Squadron NINETEEN, Training Air Wing, and the Marine Aviation training Support Squadron, the Naval Training Center and the training Squadron Seven.     The original design of the project only included health care services but after numerous upgrades of medical staff and instruments it is more than just medical center. Today it has become home to medical center for family of US President, American hero and some of the most high profile civil and military personnel. Even the President Ronal Reagan’s wife Nancy Reagan visited Maryland Bethesda Medical Center for medical care.

It was originally built to serve as Naval Ammunition Depot and also to produce, test and store ordnance under the Bureau of ordnance to implement the Supplemental Defense Appropriation Act. The bureau of weapons expanded its operations in Crane as weapons became more sophisticated in the 1950s to respond to the sophistication. Crane was placed under the Naval Sea Systems command and renamed the Naval Weapons Support Center, which was a better description of their operations. The Crane Army Ammunition Activity was later formed as a tenant command to deal with the manufacture and storage of ammunition at the Base.

    Crane first produced batteries, electronic components and rotating components. Among the services it offered were repair, overhaul, failure analysis and standard hardware design and engineering. Now world renowned ordnance roots, crane is recognized for its sophisticated and modern weaponry and technical products. The center also conducts a lot of research into weapons development and evaluation. They also regulate weapon acquisition and combat system security. Crane is also into fleet maintenance and modernization. They also develop and maintain power systems, strategic systems, small arms and surface electronic systems. The Base also develops marine systems such as undersea warfare systems. Crane developed the system the United States Army for the yet-to-come DD(X) class of destroyer and the Littoral Combat Ship. A groove of trees, also known as the Constitution Grove at the base is harvested for the White Oak wood for the United States Constitution. The Center also oversees strategic missions.

    Build originally with 38 buildings; the Illinois Great Lakes is the host of the boot camp of the United States Navy. Known officially as Naval Station Great Lakes, the first buildings of this base was designed between 1909 and 1911 by the renowned architect, Jarvis Hunt.  Located close to North Chicago, Illinois, this Naval base is made up of 1,153 building structures on a 1,628 acres of land, making it the largest single military station in Illinois and the largest naval training station. The road network spans about 50 miles to provide access to the facilities. Operated as a city on its own, the base has a security force, fire department and public works department. It also has schools and medical facilities to serve occupants of the base. The base also serves as the center for training new Navy recruits.

    The Great Lakes Base became the only beginners’ training School for the navy in 1996 and since then, the base trains about forty thousand recruits each year. The workforce of the Naval base is about 7,000 at each point in time. Training is also organized for civilians aspiring to be sailors with about 16,000 of them passing out each year.

    The center also provides support for some sites with technical training contents which include the Center for Surface Combat systems, the Center for Personal Development Center for Naval Engineering, Center for Naval Leadership, and the Center for Service Support. Among the numerous training facilities are other training institutions like the Electrician’s Mate, the Fire Controlman, Gunner’s Mate, Electronics Technician and Quartermaster, among others. The center has seen an improvement since 2005 with the building of a non-denominational chapel and a reception for civilian families. The Great Lakes Naval Base is listed as one of the historic places in Illinois. It also houses one of the 15 United States Naval Museums, the Great Lakes Naval Museum.

    The Gulfport Naval Construction Battalion Center is the home base of the construction units of the Naval Force which is found in Gulfport, Mississippi. It houses the 20th Naval Construction Regiment and the Navy Mobile Construction units such as the 1, 7, 74 and 133. The base offers home and services to the construction workers and is used as storage for the construction materials and equipment as well as a stand by force in time of emergency and insurgency.

    The Gulfport Battalion Center was founded on June 2, 1942 as a base for the Navy Seabees who were civilians at that time in constructing the military equipment and installations and provides home to the US Navy Construction Battalions that were to be assigned to the battlefields in Europe and the Pacific during the World War II. The US Naval Training Center was launched on March 1944 which provides training in radioman, basic engineering, diesel, electrician and quartermaster knowledge.

    During the World War II, the base was the center for training and construction works. It was then commissioned by the Navy and used as store house for the Navy and military facilities which until now serves the same purpose as well as the center for the various construction jobs in the military. On 1945, it became the US Naval Storehouse and was commissioned on 1946 as the Training Center. On 1948, it became the storage of the countries accumulated stocks such as copper, bauxite, sisal, abaca and tin. Bauxite is the largest stock the station has which occupies 24 of the stations 1,098 acres of land.

    The Gulfport Battalion Center had ballooned to 183 military and 523 civilian employees in support of the 4,200 Seabees. It is now listed as one of the Navy’s excellent installations whose major concern is military’s readiness in the logistic support and mobilization of the US Navy.
