Andrews Air Force Base is the place for the Air Force One and the 89 Airlift Wing who host the VIP missions of the high public officials of United States of America including the President, Vice President, delegates from the congress and other foreign distinguished dignitaries from other countries. When the Air Force was established on 1947, Andrew Field was changed to its present name, the Andrews Air Force Base. It was on July 1961 when Andrews AFB plays host to the Air Force One, the official presidential aircraft.

Andrews Air Force Base started the annual air show and open house on the base since 1950. It then continued to the Department of Defense Joint Services open House which brings less than a million visitors to Andrews AFB annually. It is here where the reunions of the Vietnamese prisoners of war took place; the witness of the arrival of the fallen leaders, John F. Kennedy being the first and also a witness to the historic tour to the US of Pope John Paul II.

Hurlburt Field is named after a United States Army Lieutenant Donald Wilson Hurlburt who was killed in a plane crash. It is a United States military Base which had been previously named Eglin-Hurlburt Airdrome, Hurlburt Field and Eglin Auxiliary Field number 9 until 1948 when it assumed its current name. The facility spaces a space of about 27 square kilometers and has a total population of almost 8000 military personnel. Hurlburt field can boast of the best military equipment and personnel in the Florida State. The early 1960s saw the facility being used as a dispersal base for 306^th Bomb Wing’s B-47s Strategic Air Command.

Over the years, their aircraft range had included AC-18K Stinger gunships, AC-47 Spooky gunships, B-26K Counter invaders and many more. There is a long paved runway, which has hungers located west of it. Lockheed AC-130 Spectre or Spooky gunships and MC-130 Combat Talon were introduced to operate in the base when special operations were introduced. The USAF Special Operations School, located on the Hurlburt Field trains Air Force, Army, Navy, Coast Guards and Marine Corps.

They also train civilian society on Dynamics of International Terrorism, Middle East Orientation Course and many more. The Hurlburt Field also houses the Joint Special Operations University, which has lectures drawn from all branches of the United States military, the Department of State, Central Intelligence Agency, non-governmental organizations and civilian universities.

The university allows frank comments from students, faculty and staff. An Air Commando Air Park is available at the field, but is only accessible to military personnel, due to the security measures put in place in the aftermath of the September 11 attacks on the United States. Every visitor entering the facility must be sponsored. The facility was used to stage the Transformers 3 movie and also by the Miami NBA heat for training before the beginning of the main season.

Hickam Air Force Base is based in Honolulu City and managed by the United States Pacific air Force. This is also the place for 15^4thWing of the Hawaii Air National Guard, 515^th Air Mobility operations Wing of Air Mobility Command and 15^th Airlift Wing. The base got its name after Lieutenant Colonel Horace Meek Hickam, a pioneer in Aviation of the United States Army Corps.

Hickam AFB has a land area of 2,850 with a value of more than $444 million in properties. Its boundary on the north is the Pearl Harbor Naval Shipyard, Fort Kamehameda on the south, the airport on the east and the Pearl Harbor Entrance on the west side of the base. The Delaware Dover Base is situated right in Dover belonging to Delaware. This is right in the very center of Delmarva (Maryland, Delaware and the precious Virginia) the peninsula. Florida MacDill Air Force Base is one of the most important bases in US located 4-miles from city Tampa, Florida. It is home to some of the most important everyday missions in Florida. It is also home to some of the most important airplanes such as Boeing KC-135 Stratotanker used for refueling airplanes in Florida air space and C-37A Gulfstream that is a private business jet used by high profile personnel. Florida MacDill’s primary mission is to provide support to on-flight refueling facility operating around the world. It is also base to Orion P-3, Gulfstream IV and provides support to Hurricanes Hunter airplanes.

The base supports 6-AMW comprising of 3000 personnel having capability to refuel jet planes during flight around the world. It can provide rapid support and they are stationed around the world. The whole team is commanded from Florida Machdill air base and they use Boeing KC-135 Stratotanker jet plane for refueling.

The base was built in 1939 and was named as Southeast Air Base Tampa but was later renamed to Leslie MacDill who was a fighter pilot in World War I. During Spanish-American War the base was upgraded to support the war and it was stationed with many wings such as Third Air Force with the mission to patrol against Spanish submarines during the war. It also became headquarter of the bombardment group during the war, and some of them are still stationed in Florida Machill.

During World War II the air-submarine mission was transferred to navy and aircrew at the base were trained to be deployed around the world. Today many of bombardment groups and wings are still stationed at Florida MacDill base and offer some of the best jet planes such as F-16s and MacDill family planes.

Established in 1935 as a military base to serve as a United States airforce armament proving land, the Florida Eglin Base is located a few miles from the Fort Walton Beach. It covers a vast land of about 1,900 square kilometers. This land covers 97,963 square miles into the Gulf of Mexico. It provides support for personnel, logistics, information and communications technology, engineering, medical and security services for the surrounding areas. It is also a main source of support for the Air Armament Center as well traditional military services available in tenant units. The Florida Eglin Base was named after a Lieutenant who died in an aircraft crash and is now under the commandership of Colonel Sal M. Nodjomian.

The vast land on which the Florida Eglin is a major factor that is responsible for its economic boom. The base is the home of manufacturing of high-tech equipment and products and is toured by many people each year. The Indian Temple Mound Museum, also located near the Base. A lot of tourists troupe to this museum each passing day to see for themselves the Mississippian-period mound. The Civic division of the Florida Eglin Base organizes outreach programs to visit some civilian groups and schools. This is an effort to foster good relationships between the military and civilian society.

The public affairs division organizes tours for civil society groups on request. Additionally, the Base organizes air shows, during which they display their aircraft facilities. Members of the public are allowed to feature in this event. School children are shown round the various departments and military equipment. The tour groups are expected to be numbered from 20 to 40 people and are expected to come up with their own transportation, with an Eglin escort on board each bus. Any group wishing to tour the Florida Eglin Base should inform the unit at least 30 days before the tour date.

Colorado Schriever AFB is situated right in CO Springs, which is the 2^nd largest city located in Colorado & situated around eighty miles South of the International Airport. This wing is high tech and it operates at the Schriever AFB centers, it consists of remote tracking spots and stations along with some other worldwide facilities. They can monitor the satellites when they launch, and the orbits are fine following the launch.

Just one hour from Fort Collins, which is heavily Democratic, is Colorado Springs, where an important military base and several evangelical institutions, which is a Republican stronghold, this is the Colorado Peterson facility.

The Colorado Peterson Air Force Base appears to be huge and it is a known US base situated at Colorado Springs. As previously mentioned it occupies an area of El Paso County, providing many options to Colorado Springs, especially to the Municipal Airport right under a joint which is shared and it is all about civil-military arrangement of the airport. This base was actually once named because of Lt Edward J Peterson which was the 1^st one to lead and was actually unfortunately and sadly killed at Colorado Peterson base, long ago, in a terrible crash.

Today, Colorado Peterson Air force base is the home of US Northern Command and of the NORAD, along with the ASPC. It also holds the AFSPC’s twenty first SW, the Space Army Command, & the 302 AW. Also, the twenty first SW actually serves like a host for the Peterson AFB unit.

The Operations are somehow complex but needed and optimal and the current tenant units are chosen carefully. The main military operations in terms of flight purposes are constantly optimized and they are being conducted absolutely fine. They where once stationed right at the AFB Rickenbacker in Ohio, which was later relocated to Colorado Peterson back in 1985. The USAF service and personnel maintaining and also operating are fine. Furthermore, the operations that were once performed in Cheyenne Mountain, where also relocated in order to ensure total efficiency. Other facilities include a base exchange, a commissary, and a package store. Excellent officers and NCO clubs are also available.

The California McClellan AFB is situated at the intersection of Interstate 80 and Business 80, in the northeast section of Sacramento. The climate in this part of California is temperate, with low humidity most of the year. Annual rainfall averages less than eighteen inches, with most of it falling from December through February. About 1.5 million people live in the Sacramento area.

Vandenberg Air Force Base is named in honor of former Air Force Chief of Staff General Hoyt S.Vandenberg. Travis AFB is located at San Francisco Bay Area was constructed in June 1942 under the name of Fairfield-Suisun Army Air Base with the main intention to station the medium attack bombers at the air base. In central Arkansas you will find Little Rock AFB near the Arkansas city of Jacksonville. You can reach LRAFB from Jacksonville by taking the highway to the main gate exit. Laughingly, if you arrive in Little Rock by bus, plane, or train you will find that there is no transportation service from these places to the base. In 1953 the construction of the $31million base began, after the Air Force decided in 1952 to build the base near the town of Jacksonville Arkansas.

Although the first commander of this base worked very hard during the construction of the base he never saw the base open to air traffic in September of 1955. In June of 1955 Col. Joseph A. Thomas in the base’s only aircraft at the time when it crashed. His Name is on the Little Rock AFB Memorial at Jacksonville AFB, Jacksonville, Arkansas. This memorial was dedicated to the airmen who had lost their lives while assigned to LRAFB. This Memorial is truly a wonderful remembrance with its beautifully written passage.

For the greater part, the air crafts that are used at the base are meant for airlift tasks. This could be for dropping relief supplies to disaster victims, airdropping supplies to troops, and in some cases airdropping troops into remote areas within hostile territory. Training for these air crafts is also done at this base and for the air crews from the department of defense, the coast guard, and 31 ailed nations.

LRAFB is not a large base with only 6,000 acres and one runway, and a population of approximately 7,000 both active duty and civilian personnel. There are also approximately 5,500 family members who are living on base and they work on or around the base. LRAFB has a strong and long history of its members being there to help out in any way they can within the local community.

In 1942, the Buckley Air Force Base, in Colorado was established to oversee training and facilitation of the B-24 and B-17 armored and bombardier special operatives. The Lowry Air Force Base assigned Buckley, as an emergency field during the heat battle of World War II. A transformation took effect and the facility was consigned over to the Colorado Air National Guard. The United States Navy took control of all operations and changed the name of the facility to Naval Air Station Denver, Colorado in 1947. In 1959, the United States Air Force became the appointed command base, for the facility after the United States Navy neutralized their authority, therefore handing over the responsibilities to the appointed commission. The property was then licensed by the Air Force in 1960 with the newly appointed name Buckley National Guard Base. The base is located at an estimated 6 miles east of the city of Denver.

The base is currently active with an estimated land mass of 3, 328 acres of land, which is bordered by 6^th Ave on the northern section of State Highway 30. In 2000 the facility was legally appointed by Air Force Space Command, as an Air Force Base with field specialties such as: maintenance for military aircrafts, space-based military communications and missile tracking.

The Buckley Air Force Base currently facilitates a total of 77 tenants which includes:
- Colorado Air National Guard, 140^th Wing
- Aerospace Data Facility
- Naval Operations Support Center
- Colorado Army National Guard Aviation Support Facility
All environmental recreational activities for the Buckley Air Force Base, is scheduled and overseen by the Air Force. The activities may include: investigating, identifying and cleansing the facility of contamination from past experiences.

Buckley Air Force Base includes two environmental redemption programs which include:
- Installation Restoration Program (IRP)
- Military Munitions Response Program (MMRP)
