    Pennsylvania Carlisle Barracks is a US Army training facility in the city of Carlisle in the state of Pennsylvania. It is also known as Carlisle Barracks and it offers US military war college.   • Fort Hood

    Fort Hood was named in honor of Confederate General John Bell Hood is a United States military installation situated in Killeen, Texas. With an area of 158,706 acres, Fort Hood has 6,007 officers and 82.610 active duty personnel, and considered to be the largest active armory post in the United States Army which has the ability to support two divisions of armory.

    Fort Hood became part of the operation Desert Shield in Southwest Asia on August 1990.   • Fort Bliss Army Base

    Fort Bliss primary mission is to provide training for the present and next generation set of soldiers as well as to develop various tactics and doctrine. Its duty is to train and ensure the continuous operation of the United States Patriot Missile Battalions. This US post served as the location for the Basic Training and Advance Individual Training (AIT) and then the training was transferred to Fort Sill after 1990.  At present, the unit has four enlisted batteries under the AIT, one of which is for the officer’s Basic Course, a company that provides training for the army truck drivers and for the Captain’s Career Course.

  • Camp Market

    Camp Market is a small installation group and part of the large installation group which is the Yongsan Installation. The base houses the Marketing office, the Air Force and Army Exchange services and the Defense Reutilization. The camp was established by the Japanese as the Imperial Japanese Army Garrison on 1904 to 1945. During that time it was mostly an agricultural land and near the Han River.  The base was a convenient location for the transport of the military supplies and services by using the boats that were travelling through the Yellow Sea entering the Han River.

    The Camp Market primary mission is to serve as the biggest industrial bakery capable of supplying all of the United States South Korean Army installations with their baked products such as pastries and bread.  The base is also utilized as a mass storage containing about 34 warehouses confined in 900,000 square feet area. The camp employs 600 personnel many of whom are Korean Nationals while other employees are from the Korean Service Corps and other contractors.

    Camp Market which is situated between Incheon and Gimpo International Airport has its own shuttle bus running daily between the camp, Yongsan Garrison and the Gimpo Airport. The camp has its own amenities including the Ball Field, swimming pool picnic areas, gymnasium, several snack bars and community clubs.

    Yongsan Garrison is currently home to the 25,000 US military personnel, part of which is employed by Camp Market, DoD civilian contractors and their dependent families. There are also 1,000 Korean Aurgmentees as well as 3,000 Korean civilian employees. The other primary units stationed in Yongsan Garrison are 121 General Hospital, USFK headquarters, 18th Medical Command, 8th US Army headquarters, 175th Finance, Corps of Engineers Far East District, Armed Forces Network Korea, 501st Military Intelligence and the1st Signal Brigade. Yongsan Garrison ranked third in the top installations of the entire US Army Communities of Excellence.

  • Camp Humphreys

    Camp Humphreys is an army base of the United States Army which is situated near Anjung-Ri and nearby Pyeongtaek metropolis in South Korea. It is located 55 miles apart in the southern part of Seoul. The base was taken by the Americans after the World War II and was established by the Japanese during the Korean War. The base is home to the military intelligence units, 2nd Infantry Division, 2nd Combat Aviation Brigade and other military groups.

    Camp Humphrey is getting to be the fastest growing base unit of United States Army in Korea.     The base is complete with all the major facilities such as commissary, movie theater, Post Exchange, several fitness centers, children’s water park, food court, indoor swimming pool with and Olympic sized outdoor swimming pool, slot machines used in gambling which is known as the Gateway, three shoppetes, bowling alley and several Pizza joints. It is also home to the Eight United States Army confinement facility which houses soldiers who is listed to for transfer in the United States military prison.

    At present, the base has no primary headquarter that is housed inside the base. Colonel Joseph Moore is the base commander of Camp Humphreys whose mission is to be part of the United States Army’s endeavor to ready their forces in future challenges of any upcoming war.   • Camp Hovey

    Camp Hovey is part of Army military base of United States which is located in South Korea .It stands in 4000 acres of land forty one miles away from the City of Seoul. The base was named in honor of Master Sergeant who was actually killed on action at the Pork Chop Hill in his valiant effort in saving his troops during Korean War. Honey Cut is the road connecting the Camp Hovey to its adjacent larger base Camp Casey. The base is part of Casey Enclave which consists of several installations.

Moreover, 1/9 Infantry comprises other part of the combined 1/9 Infantry and 2/72 Armor before the deployment to Iraq in returning to the Fort Carson in Colorado.

    Camp Hovey is complete with all the modern amenities a base camp needs such as fitness centers, libraries, recreational facilities such as movie theater, billiard hall, ping pong, The other facilities were shared by Camp Hovey with the other larger units but the smaller installations have their own facilities that are of service to the military personnel and their dependent families inside the base.   • Camp Eagle

    Camp Eagle used to be called R-401and was officially named Camp Eagle on July 3, 1989. This was established as a joint effort of both the United States Government and Republic of Korea as their first major project.  Camp Eagle is basically the newest and the most modern army installation found in Republic of Korea with its two major installation unit, the Company G, 2nd Battalion 52nd Aviation Regiment and the 1st Squadron, 6th Cavalry Regiment. This army installation also houses the 520th Maintenance Company and Lockheed Martin for the civilian contractors while the 194th Maintenance Battalion supports the 1-6th Cavalry and OL-B Det 2, 607th Weather Squadron.

    On June 1996, Camp Eagle had undergone reorganization and was part of Area III whose unit’s responsibilities became under Camp Long which is seven miles ways from Camp Eagle. However, Camp Eagle has its own fire department, community club, small Post Exchange, barber shop, ATM, gym, softball field and KATUSA Snack Bar. Other services also include the Airfield Safety, Airfield Operations and the Chapel. The launching of the new Community Activity Center greatly improved the quality of living for the Camp Eagle military men and their dependent families.

    This was opened on July 18 by Col. John E. Dumoulin, the US Army Garrison Humphrey Commander who told the residents that the intention of the community center is to complete and improve the quality of their life. The community center will now be a place for entertainment and relaxation for the unit personnel. This includes a movie and television room, pool tables, ping pong, video game center, reading room, music room and other entertainment facilities. The ongoing projects with in the area are library, internet facility, coffee shop and will also offer other activities such as trips to nearby ski destinations. Because of these modern and complete facilities, Camp Eagle became the favorite among the residents.

  • Camp Castle

    Camp Castle stands in 48.6 acres of land located in Dongducheon 40 miles away from Seoul, South Korea. Camp Castle only few steps away from Camp Casey, the reason why many facilities are being shared by both installations.  The camp houses the United States Second Infantry Division, Second Engineer Battalion and the 70th Support Battalion which includes the HHC Company and the Maintenance/Distro Company Alpha Company. The Camp has its own NCo/Enlisted Club, dining facility, motor pool, racquet court, a gym, small laundry shop and its own barracks.

    A pedestrian bridge was built connecting the two camps while easing the traffic on the roadway. It houses also the Area I HazMart which is a hazardous material recycling and distribution area plus the big warehouse used in keeping the entire unit’s furniture. However, there were services that were not available in the installation but the 2nd Infantry Division has a hub system that provides all the necessary services that can not be found within the area. At present, Camp Castle enjoys all the comfort of an installation in all the United States based in South Korea.

    Camp Castle employs 630 personnel, 500 of which are United States military employees and the rests are contractors of the Department of Defense. Last June 2001.     Camp Walker is perhaps the largest military installation in Daegu. It has is on a total land area of 190 acres. This camp is mainly used for military operations. It has a large airfield usually used for landing military airplanes in the area. The long and well developed runway also provides landing facilities for private and corporate airplanes. There are also training facilities for training military personnel, especially flight officers. The central part of this camp however is a recreational zone. It has all the facilities for the outdoor recreations such as swimming, basketball and soccer, among other things.

    Camp George is the third and perhaps the smallest of the three military camps in Daegu. It got its name from a Korean Soldier. This camp has housing facilities and houses army personnel as well as their families. It is also home to the Daegu American School, a basic school with classes from kindergarten to grade 12. It also has recreational facilities for military personnel.

  • Camp Stanley

    Camp Stanley is a United States Army installation in South Korea and is a part of the Camp Red Cloud. This installation was started as a temporary tent settlement to accommodate incoming American troops in South Korea, but saw the first permanent building in 1969.  The camp was set up to provide military assistance to South Korea as part of the United States international policies on the country. It currently covers a large land surface area and installations forming the camp are scattered all over the land. The hospital and dental clinic serve the American military population in South Korea and their families.     In 1918 Fort Bragg was artillery training camp first the goal was to have six artillery brigades at the cost of 6 million dollars that was given for this operation and land. This plan was abandoned right after WW 1 ended. This was very important since everything changed.

    Later on, September 30, 1922 Camp Bragg is renamed to Fort Bragg so it can become a permanent home for the U.S army post. Four barracks were constructed in that time too which stands even today after 89 years.

    Moreover, in 1940 World War II was in place and the population in Fort Bragg reached 5.400 and after only one year the population exploded to 67.000 this was because a lot of units were assigned here for training during World War II that includes the 2nd Armored Division, 9th Infantry Division, 82nd Airborne Division and the 100th Infantry Division, the population of Fort Bragg facility reached the peak during the World War II years which was of 159 .000.

    The Fort Bragg base even participated in the WW 2, Vietnam, 1990 Saudi Arabia, 21st century Iraq and Afghanistan.
