Colorado Air Force Academy is located in the 18,000 hectares of El Paso County, Colorado, U.S.A which housed cadet housing facilities and the place to live for the 4,500 cadets and 600 staff wherein 30% of these are enlisted men.
The academy is founded for the education of undergraduate studies of the enlisted officers. They feature a four year Bachelor of Science degree course where the graduates will then be hired as second lieutenants in the U.S. Air Force upon finishing from the degree program. The first batch of graduates in 1959 is the youngest from the five different academies in the country. The academy has more that one millions visitors annually.
The academy also teaches great scope in academic courses which are gives emphasis to social sciences, humanities, engineering, basic sciences, and physical education and of course studies related to military techniques.
The whole of academy has a population of 750.9 persons per square mile with 7,526 people living in the area, 1,128 houses and 1,112 families inside the academy. The people residing in the academy are mostly Whites, African American, Native American, Asian and a small portion from other places. The academies families compose of 82.8% under 18 of age, 90.2% are married couples, 5.9% have no husband, 1.4% was not composed of families and 1.3% was singles.


The United states Air Force Academy’s mission is to “educated, train, and inspire both men and women to become officers with character, motivates to lead the United States Air Force in the service of our nation”. To gain admission to the academy, they must first pass a fitness test, has to undergo a rigid medical examination, and must have a nomination from a member of the Congress in his district. Those who passed will have free tuition and all paid expenses for the board and lodging paid by the United States Government.
