The Massachusetts New England base is outstanding. With the headquarters in the Woods Hole, MA, the zone Southeastern in New England space has the responsibility to the fullest and it is coming right from the so called Manomet Point located in MA to the known Match Point that is located in Rhode Island.

Back in spring 2006 the Southeastern sector New England, was also known as the SENE, and it was actually established by Groups Woods Hole that joined together with the Marine Safety Providence (Office). The MA New England sector has today 8 well designed Stations together with 4 Cutters, 2 different Aids with Navigation teams, & 2 Marine Detachment units meant for safety. It is all about marines, too!
Moreover, the New England District is today responsible of many things such as fully managing the many important civil tasks and works.
Woods Hole region has:
Approximately 6,000 miles of the coastline, around 171 harbors full of Corps improvements. In addition, it consists of thirteen deep draft commercials water ways and thirteen exclusive and major river basin spots- Not to mention the many miles full of beautiful rivers & streams. The MA New England district even employs like 400 professional that are ready to meet up needs in terms of tasks with military aspects. The officers are even serving in several management positions that are very important. Around 80% of programs and projects are taking place and some others are in development.
The areas are amazing and the region is perfect for many activities. The specific goals and missions are totally great and varied. These activities include: the full Environmental restoration along with stewardship. The flood damages are to be reduced, too! The natural resources and the recreational management are taken care of. The full shoreline protection and security is attended and there are many navigation improvements taking place non-stop. Any disaster assistance can be met and the regulatory programs help in many ways.
